Jeff Westeinde is the brainchild behind Zibi, a unique world-class sustainable redevelopment being built on the former EB Eddy industrial lands. Zibi, meaning ‘river’ in the Algonquin language, includes most of Chaudière and Albert Islands in Ottawa and 22 acres of waterfront in downtown Gatineau, surrounded by the Ottawa River. Zibi is a master-planned community offering endless paths to better urban living along a vibrant waterfront, most with stunning views of Parliament and the river.
As an active investor, entrepreneur, and co-founder of THEIA Partners Inc., one of Canada’s most environmentally and socially sustainable real estate developers, Jeff has made a career of paying attention to things and places overlooked by others.
He has been named Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst and Young, Canada’s Top 40 under 40 by the Globe and Mail, recognized with the Young Alumni Award from the University of Western Ontario, and has been awarded the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee medal for his distinguished service to Canada.
